About Tidewater Trees
Tidewater Trees is a family owned and operated nursery located in rural Munden Point, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Wilson “Benny” Sawyer began his tree business in 1986, growing, planting & transplanting trees throughout southeastern Virginia. A Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association Certified Horticulturist, Benny’s vast knowledge and understanding of trees has developed over three decades of studying and honing his craft through hands on experience.
Our trees and shrubs represent a diverse selection specific to the Mid-Atlantic Region. Our plant materials are the highest quality available, grown with an emphasis on robust, healthy rootstock. Air root pruning and root pruning in the field ensures strong trees that transplant well and are sure to thrive in their new homes.
We specialize in quality, field grown landscape scale nursery stock. We offer hearty, established, healthy trees and shrubbery as both B&B and container plants. Our diverse selection includes trees, broadleaf evergreens, conifers, natives and ornamental bloomers. We strive to provide quality plants and dependable service to landscapers, municipalities, re-wholesalers and garden centers.
